The Bears jumped ahead as six players scored in the first quarter.
Four Brewster players tallied eight or more points, led by Chancy Freels' career-high 19. The junior helped finish off the game with seven in the fourth quarter.
"This is our best scoring balance of the season," Bears' coach Bryan Boesel said. "We passed the ball well. Our ball movement set up our balanced scoring."
Lake Roosevelt kept up during the middle quarters, led by Rhonda St. Pierre and Jessica Loe. The two combined for 33 points.

Tonasket 56, Liberty Bell 51
Game 2.
At Okanogan, WA

A rematch of last year's North Central District 1A girls' championship is set.
Tonasket and Brewster advanced to meet each other for a third playoff game in the past two seasons. In 2003, Tonasket won the district title, but Brewster claimed the State 1A title.
Both teams had nervous moments in this year's district semifinals Thursday. The Bears led Lake Roosevelt by five points going into the fourth quarter before winning.
Tonasket had to survive foul problems and a Liberty Bell rally to win.
The Tigers had three players in foul trouble after jumping ahead 10-0.
"It was a win, but an ugly win," Tonasket coach Gary Smith said. "We haven't had a game like that this season where we were out of rhythm with foul trouble. We found a way to win."
The Tigers used a late basket and free throw by Krissy Call, who sank three of her seven points in the fourth quarter as part of her game-high 22. Shayne Freeman made 7 of 9 free throws in the fourth quarter, finishing with 17 points despite foul problems.
The Lions took a brief lead in the third quarter, led by Regan Walsh scoring 10 of her 18 points. Katie McCurry added a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help Liberty Bell move to within 51-47.
McCurry finished with 19 and Kim Taylor added 10.

LIBERTY BELL (13-8) - McCurry 19, Walsh 18, Kim Taylor 10, Estes 1, Bourn 3, Bradshaw, Darch, Lee.
TONASKET (19-2) - Moser 6, Hedlund 2, Freeman 17, Call 22 (8 2nd, 7 in 4th), Stangland 9, Attwood, Rothrock, Jones.

Tonasket 43, Brewster 39
Game 3. (Championship, both to regional)
At Okanogan, WA

Only the most optimistic Tonasket fan saw a big rally coming against Brewster in the North Central District 1A championship game.
The Tigers trailed by 11 entering the fourth quarter, but won 43-39 to earn a second straight district title.
Liberty Bell joins Tonasket and Brewster in repeat appearances in the District 6/7 1A Regionals at Moses Lake. The Lions defeated Lake Roosevelt 60-39 in the loser-out game.
For Tonasket, both the deficit and the momentum created by Brewster, the defending State 1A champs, were daunting.
"We had everything going for us in the first three quarters," Bear coach Bryan Boesel said. "We were putting pressure on them on defense and hitting some shots."
Melanie Todd hit a 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter to give Brewster a 30-19 lead.
For Tonasket senior Shayne Freeman, it was reminiscent of the 2003 district final where the Tigers faced a six-point deficit.
"We were in the same situation last year, so that helped," Freeman said. "We had to get the ball inside. That was tough since Brewster plays very aggressive defense."
Both Freeman and Krissy Call fought through that tough defense to start the comeback.
Call scored five points in two possessions, part of 11 that quarter. Freeman then turned a steal into a layup, the start of her big finish. The senior had seven of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter.
"We went to our experience," Tonasket coach Gary Smith said. "Shayne, Krissy and Johanna (Stangland) are our most experienced players in pressure games like this. Before the fourth quarter started, I told them we're going to you."
Stangland's two baskets gave Tonasket the lead with three minutes left.
"We did what we had to do," Stangland said. "We knew we had to go inside, that's what our offense does best."
Tonasket's stampede extended to 19 straight points, lasting until the final minute of the game. By then, the Tigers owned a 38-30 lead.
Brewster freshman Kyla Evans broke it with a pair of free throws. The freshman scored six points in 30 seconds, as part of her team-high 15 points.
Freeman matched those points with three free throws to seal the win.
Until the big run, Tonasket's offense showed little. The Tigers were hindered by Brewster's full-court press.
"We were still getting the shots we wanted early, but they weren't going in," Smith said. "Then we got out of our offense even though we were down just a few points."
That margin started to grow as Brewster diversified its offense. Five Bears scored in the third quarter with Evans and Chelsi Todd hitting treys. Brewster drained three treys that quarter, but only one in the fourth quarter.
"The 3s are a big part of our offense," Boesel said. "We were taking open shots, but they just weren't going in."

BREWSTER (16-6) - M. Todd 3, C. Todd 6, Evans 15, Crane 6, Troop 5, Carlson, Youngers, Divis. Totals 14-49 7-10 39.

Liberty Bell 60, Lake Roosevelt 39
Game 4. (Winner to regional, loser out)
At Okanogan, WA

When pressed, the Lions went to the press to take control.
Lake Roosevelt was controlling the inside, particularly sophomore Jessica Loe. She had 10 points in the first quarter, helping the Raiders to a 15-10 lead. Loe was also whistled for her second foul just before the quarter break but still managed 16 of her eventual 20 points before halftime.
"We had problems trying to stop her," Liberty Bell coach Mike Bourn said. "She a good player, just like her dad (Jeff Loe) was. When she got that second foul, it helped us."
So Liberty Bell applied the pressure, specifically Katie McCurry. She had a pair of steals early in the second quarter, part of her 10 points for that quarter.
"The press is always good for us, that's when we're playing our best defense," said McCurry who finished with 27 points.
She had help in the big second quarter. Lion sophomore Kim Taylor's half-court shot with eight seconds left forged a 36-25 lead.
"I lost track of the time," Taylor said. "I was as surprised there was still time on the clock as I was that I made the shot."

LIBERTY BELL (14-8) - McCurry 27, Walsh 8, Kristy Taylor 6, Bourn 7, Lee 7, Bradshaw, Kim Taylor 3, Estes 2, DeVoe, Darch. Totals 11-34 16-25 60.
