Brewster forced 26 turnovers, while turning the ball over just nine times. The Bears were able to put together scoring bursts at the start of each of the first three quarters to pull away.
Brewster’s Wade Gebbers had 28 points to lead all scorers, and teammates Eli Driessen and Stockton Taylor were also in double figures with 15 and 11 respectively. Jordan George led Omak with 11 points, and Isaac Bessette added 10.

Jeffrey Foote knocked down a 3-pointer to send Cascade into the locker room on a 7-0 run at halftime, and the visitors were able to hold off Cashmere in the second half for an upset in the first round of the district tournament.
Foote led Cascade with 14 points, and Taylor Isadore was also in double figures with 10 points, and led the team with eight rebounds. Pedro Farias scored 14 for Cashmere and Matthew Miller added 10.

Game 3.

If you ever needed a reason why it's important to take care of the basketball, just look at the Brewster Bears' 62-59 victory over Lake Roosevelt in North Central District 1A district semifinal play on Thursday night.
The Bears committed just six turnovers for the game, and they turned the Raiders' 13 turnovers into 15 points.
"That's been an important thing all year, not making turnovers and being able to create more than we're making," Brewster coach Cass Gebbers said.
The Bears will play Chelan at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the district title game, while the Raiders will play Cascade at 3 p.m. Saturday to determine the third and fourth seeds to regional play. Both games will be played in Omak.
Chelan beat Cascade 65-48 in the other semifinal Thursday.
Brewster trailed Lake Roosevelt by 10 at halftime, but it limited the Raiders to just 29.6 percent shooting from the floor in the second half to mount its comeback.
"We changed a few assignments (on defense)," Gebbers said. "It was definitely a five-man defense. Definitely a team effort."
The Brewster coach lauded the defensive play of the Bears' bench, especially Edward Hernandez, Jose Cruz-Najera, and Sergio Naranjo.
Wade Gebbers led the way for Brewster with 25 points (including four 3-pointers), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Stockton Taylor added 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists, and Eli Driessen chipped in 12 points, four boards and two assists for the Bears.
Ed Wolfe had 21 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for Lake Roosevelt, while Cade Egbert had 12 points, six boards, and two assists, and Tanner Loe had eight points, 12 rebounds and two assists.

The Goats outscored Cascade 19-9 in the second quarter to pull away early.
"For our first game in the district tournament, I felt our defense played outstanding," Chelan coach Joe Harris said. "We held Cascade to 28 percent shooting, and we got good pressure out front. We got some things going defensively in the first half."
Junior Joe Harris netted 28 points on 10-for-20 shooting to lead the Goats. He added eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, while Derrick Talley scored 10 points, and Mat Engstom chipped six points and eight boards.
Fialele Coffin had 11 points, six rebounds, two steals and a block for Cascade.

Jordan George made two free throws with five seconds remaining in a taut contest to give the Pioneers a four-point lead on its home court.
Pedro Farias hit a 3-pointer with two seconds left, but was unable to draw a foul to complete the four-point play.
Cashmere eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.
George had 20 points for the Pioneers, but Kyle Thornton dominated in the paint with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Matthew Miller’s 15 points led three double-digit scorers for the Bulldogs.

Fresh off a loss to Brewster on Friday, the Raiders came out on fire and led 12-2 after the first quarter.
"We came out with intensity and in attack mode," Lake Roosevelt coach Brad Wilson said. "We were disappointed with how we played in the second half against Brewster, and we wanted to come out and do things right (against Cascade)."
Freshman post Ty Egbert led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds, including six offensive, for the Raiders.
"(Egbert) did a nice job of making himself available under the basket," Wilson said.
Cade Egbert, Ed Wolfe, and Ronald Salas each added 10 points for Lake Roosevelt.
Mitchell Darlington scored 11 points and Taylor Isadore had 10 for the Kodiaks, but overall leading scorer Fialele Coffin was held to eight points.
Lake Roosevelt plays NEA No. 2-seed Lakeside at 7 p.m. Wednesday, while Cascade meets top-seeded Freeman at 5:30 p.m.

Game 7. (Winner #1 to regional, loser #2)

The Brewster Bears may have finally cracked the code to the Chelan Goats.
Joe Harris scored 25 points for Chelan, but no one else scored more than six as Brewster beat the Goats 66-44 in the Class 1A District 6 championship game on Saturday.
It was the first time in three games this season that the two teams didn’t go to the overtime — and the first time Brewster came out on top.
Wade Gebbers dominated the game offensively for the Bears, shooting 6-for-9 from outside and 14-for-14 at the charity stripe for a game-high 36 points.
Brewster took it to the Goats early, taking a 16-11 lead after the first quarter, and extending its advantage to nine by halftime.
The Bears put it away in the third quarter, outscoring Chelan 20-11 in the frame.
Brewster knocked down eight shots from beyond the arc, while Chelan had just two.
Sean Divis pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Brewster, while Harris had 10 boards, three assists and two blocks for the Goats.
Top-seeded Brewster hosts No. 5 Omak in the first round regionals at 6 p.m. Tuesday, while Chelan opens against Chewelah, the No. 3 seed from the Northeast A League, at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Moses Lake.
