Leah Newell sank 15 points and captured 10 rebounds and five assists to lead the Kodiaks, Brianne Vincent tallied 14, Ashley Wright hit 11 and Amber West added 10. Tonasket 54, Lake Roosevelt 45
Game 3.
At Omak, WA

The Tonasket Tigers pulled away late to beat the Lake Roosevelt Raiders 54-45 in the Class 1A District 6 girls basketball semifinals on Saturday, setting up a championship match with Chelan at 6 p.m. Saturday in Omak.
The second-seeded Tigers took a 29-24 lead into halftime, but a sluggish third quarter put Lake Roosevelt ahead by three.
"We didn't come out as focused (in the third quarter), and we made mental mistakes," Tonasket coach Greg Moser said.
The Tigers' mental lapses subsided in the final frame, however, as they outscored the Raiders 20-8 to pull away.
"It wasn't comfortable until there was about 14 seconds to go, but the girls shot awesome from the free-throw line in the last four minutes," Moser said.
Cierra Silverthorn led the way with 21 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and two assists for Tonasket, and she held Melissa Meza, Lake Roosevelt's leading scorer throughout the season, to just six points. Jessica Kitterman added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Tigers.
Tiffany Adkins had 10 points and Meza grabbed 16 rebounds for the Raiders.

Okanogan 59, Cashmere 51
Game 5. (Loser out)
At Omak, WA

The Okanogan Bulldogs played so much better in the second half than in the first half against Cashmere that one would think it was a different team entirely.
That person would be wrong.
"People thought I made this huge speech at halftime. I really didn’t. We just made more of the shots that we were missing," Okanogan coach Gary Smith said.
Morgan Kerr had 26 of her 30 points in the second half to help Okanogan overcome a 29-18 halftime deficit.
"She just went off. She was unbelievable in the second half," Smith said.
Caitlyn Salgado had 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Cashmere, whose season ends with the defeat.
Kerr’s total broke the Caribou Trail League district tournament single-game record, set by none other than Morgan’s mother Jenny Kerr in 1990.

At Omak, WA

Ashley Wright’s bucket off a Krista Pfister pass with 3:24 remaining was the last Cascade had for the game, but the Raiders managed just a field goal from Rowena Antone and a lone free throw from Tiffany Adkins down the stretch.
Wright finished with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Amber West chipped in 10 points for the Kodiaks.
Dominique Pleasants’ nine points paced the Raiders, while Melissa Meza added eight points and 10 boards.
