Brewster, after having to play an extra game Saturday just to get into the playoffs, trailed Cascade by eight after the first quarter and never recovered. The Bears’ Stockton Taylor led all scorers with 23 points, while Chris Stone was the only Cascade player in double figures with 11 points.

Pedro Farias poured in 30 points Tuesday night to lead the Cashmere past Okanogan 59-55 and into the North Central 1A District semifinals.
“He was unstoppable,” Okanogan coach Tony Block said of Farias, who had 21 of his 30 points in the second half and made six of eight free throws down the stretch to help Cashmere hold on.
Okanogan took a 26-22 lead into the locker room, but scored just six points in the third.
“You can’t win when you only score six in a quarter,” Block said.

If nothing else, the Lake Roosevelt Raiders have established themselves as a strong defensive team.
Just ask the Cascade Kodiaks.
Lake Roosevelt held the Kodiaks to single-digit scoring in each quarter to take a 45-25 win in the Caribou Trail League district semifinals Friday night.
The Raiders’ defensive effort was led by 6-foot-6 post Ty Egbert, who blocked six Cascade shots.
The Raiders also owned the boards, grabbing 50 rebounds to the Kodiaks’ 34. Egbert had 18 boards, while Tanner Loe added 10.
Cade Egbert led Lake Roosevelt with 17 points.

The Cashmere boys won their play-in game over Cascade.
The Bulldog trailed the Kodiaks 48-42 heading into the final period, but moved in front with less than four minutes left and were able to hold on from there.
Wes Worthen and sophomore Cooper Elliott scored 22 each for the Bulldogs, while Jeffrey Foote led the Kodiaks with 18.

The Chelan boys throttled Lake Roosevelt 70-38 behind 22 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and four assists from Goats senior Joe Harris.
Chelan has now won 21 in a row after a season-opening overtime loss to Class 2A power Ephrata. By virtue of their district championship, the Goats get a pass through regional and to state. Their only regional game, against Freeman, will be to determine if they’re the region’s No. 1 or No. 2 seed to state.
