*To qualify for 1A classification, schools must have a full-time enrollment count of 188-467 in grades 10-12.

Proposed Ideas for Combining the CTL & NEA

1. There would be no required inter-league games between the two leagues. This would mean no changes in the current scheduling (non-league & league) procedures.
2. Both leagues would continue to hold district tournaments to decide the pre-determined number of teams to a regional tournament.

Regional Allocation Formula

CTL = 8 teams

NEA = 5 teams

Total = 13 teams

An 8-team tournament bracket will be used

13 teams divided by the 8 team bracket

= 1.625

CTL's 8 teams divided by 1.625 = 4.92 or (5)

NEA's 5 teams divided by 1.625 = 3.08 or (3)

Note: The CTL/District 6 has (92%) of the remaining allocation, while the NEA/District 7 has only (8%). There is a large enough difference for District 6 to receive the 5th regional allocation.
