Okanogan boys beat No.1, Brewster girls lose

MOSES LAKE - The Okanogan boys stunned top-ranked Freeman in overtime in their championship game, while Brewster knocked off Kettle Falls in a loser out affair.

Championship Game, both to state

Okanogan 59, Freeman 58 (OT)

A 14-point loss to Freeman in its own holiday tournament in December gave Okanogan on of its two losses on the year.
But the Bulldogs got their revenge with an overtime win over the Scotties in the regional championship.
After scoring only two points in the first meeting, Andy Hill fueled the Okanogan offense with a game-high 20, including four clutch free throws in the extra frame.
Hill's first two foul shots gave the Bulldogs a 57-56 lead with under two minutes to go. His last two posted the final score.
Okanogan's Bryce Chamberlin tallied 15 points and six rebounds, despite leaving the game with two minutes to go in regulation after colliding with the stands and requiring 17 stitches in his head.
Jordan Horner came up big in the paint, racking up 14 points and nine blocks.

Dustin Boesel provided the Bears with nearly a carbon copy of Pendergraft's output, pumping in 20 points on 9-for-10 shooting to go with six boards.
"Boesel came up with a big game," said Brewster coach Tim Taylor. "He obviously didn't want to see the season end."

Kettle Falls closed within 10 points just once in the second half of the winner-to-state contest.
Okanogan's Andrea Lisenbey netted 11 points and Aletha Walker 10.
