Districts 6 & 7
Regional Tournament Idea

Rationale:

1. Keep the tournament at a neutral site in gyms large enough to hold tournament crowds.  Examples of neutral sites: Omak High School, Eastmont High School, Mead High School, Central Valley High School or Moses Lake High School. If both districts agreed to host the tournaments, the site would alternate during the two year span.  The neutral site would be at District 6 during year one and at District 7's neutral site during year two.  Moses Lake would be a "true" neutral site since no school of either district plays any games on that court during the regular season and is half the distance between either district.

2. Since District 6 has a greater number of state allotments, it will receive an automatic bid to state as #1 or #2.

3. The proposed tournament would be made up of three District 6 schools and two District 7 schools. The formula that is used to determine state berths for each district would be used here.

4. The tournament would continue to run in a three-day span.
